The Great Migration is truly GREAT

The Great Migration is truly GREAT

To be honest, as much as I love Africa, seeing the wildebeest and zebra cross the Mara River had not been on my bucket list.  But, I was invited to Tanzania to travel with a group of other travel advisors and couldn’t turn it down.  I sure am glad I lept at this opportunity.  It was awe-inspiring, breathtaking and really indescribable.  In one hour, we saw nearly 10,000 animals cross the river in one narrow corridor.  One benefit of traveling during the pandemic was that we had a front row seat to this incredible sight and were one of just five vehicles.  In addition, we saw the best of Tanzania, including the famous Ngorongoro Crater, the Serengeti and Stone Town in Zanzibar.  This country really delivers an amazing wildlife experience, has some excellent lodges and is a top pick for WanderWell client safaris.  If you can travel between August and October, you too can see the river crossing and be left speechless just like me.
