WANDERWELL JOURNEYS charges a $500 NON-REFUNDABLE consultation fee to begin planning your trip.
After final balance is paid, any changes to an existing itinerary may be subject to additional charges and are at the sole discretion of each hotel and/or supplier implementing those changes per your request. Cancellation terms and conditions will be communicated at the time of confirmation of booking. Most trip payments are non-refundable. It is the client’s responsibility to obtain and carefully read all terms and conditions, and paying your deposit will signify your acceptance of the terms.
In addition, WANDERWELL JOURNEYS reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of up to 10% of the total booking if you elect to cancel your trip after final balance has been paid. WANDERWELL JOURNEYS will advocate for you and assist with return of what monies we can based on the cancellation policies of each hotel and/or supplier.
WANDERWELL JOURNEYS strongly recommends travel insurance and is a reseller of travel protection from Travelex Insurance, a leader in this space. We will send you an insurance quote once your deposit has been paid. WANDERWELL JOURNEYS is not liable for loss, damage or theft of luggage or personal belongings, or for personal injury, accident or illness that may prevent or interrupt your travel. Please ensure that you have adequate insurance before departing, including but not limited to emergency evacuation, medical expenses, repatriation, cancellation or curtailment of trips, and damage, theft or loss of personal luggage, money or goods. If you choose not to purchase travel insurance, you are required to decline in writing to WANDERWELL JOURNEYS within a 21-day period from your initial deposit payment.
TRA VEL DOCUMENTS AND REQUIREMENTS
Obtaining travel VISAS, complying with vaccination and other health requirements, and having updated passports and other travel documentation for each destination are the responsibility of the traveler, not the travel agent. WANDERWELL JOURNEYS will do their best to advise as to what is required by your destination, but as these regulations are in flux, it is the responsibility of the traveler to stay abreast of current regulations and obtain what is necessary. Monies will not be refunded because travel and other entry documentation was not correct, or other entry and travel requirements were not met.
The lead traveler listed above will be the only recipient of these terms and conditions, and it is his or her responsibility to inform other travelers of these terms and conditions to which all bookings are subject, and by which all travelers will be bound. The lead traveler is required to immediately review all aspects of bookings to verify, among other items, passengers’ legal names (which must correspond to names as they appear on passports), mailing and email addresses, birth dates, pricing, airfare, arrival/departure airports, accommodations, and all organized activities on your booking receipt. You must inform WANDERWELL JOURNEYS immediately if any information appearing on documentation is inaccurate, and it is your sole responsibility to ensure such accuracy.
PAYMENTS AND PRICING
Failure to remit payments on a timely basis will automatically put your booking at risk of cancellation. WANDERWELL JOURNEYS is not responsible for cancellation of any booking cancelled because of late payment or declination of a credit or other payment card. Prices and availability quoted by WANDERWELL JOURNEYS are not guaranteed until payment has been made in accordance with supplier terms, which may change without notice. Travelers agree that WANDERWELL JOURNEYS cannot be held responsible for any errors or omissions in quotes or advertisements resulting in inventory, content or pricing discrepancies, nor is WANDERWELL JOURNEYS responsible for any errors or omissions that may occur because of incorrect information from third parties. WANDERWELL JOURNEYS reserves the right to charge travelers for any increase in taxes, fees or surcharges that may become due in connection with bookings, or increases resulting from currency fluctuations.
ACCOMMODATIONS, ACTIVITIES AND TRANSPORTATION
WANDERWELL JOURNEYS will plan your trip and make bookings on your behalf, using accommodation, activity and transportation suppliers that we believe will provide you with reliable and excellent service, based on our personal experience, detailed research and client and industry feedback. Nonetheless, WANDERWELL JOURNEYS is acting solely as an intermediary in connection with such arrangements, and we cannot be held liable for any failure of a supplier to fulfill its contract with travelers in accordance with the terms and conditions, and legal requirements, to which such services are subject, in accordance with applicable law and jurisdiction. It is extremely important that travelers familiarize themselves with, and respect, the requirements of such suppliers, including but not limited to check-in and departure times, security requirements and codes of conduct. All service suppliers are independent of WANDERWELL JOURNEYS. We cannot accept responsibility for losses or expenses, or failure to provide services, due to delays or changes in transportation, sickness, weather, strikes, civil disturbances, quarantine, force majeure or other causes. WANDERWELL JOURNEYS cannot be held responsible if you do not enjoy your travels due to reasons beyond our control, or as a result of problems due to reasons that were undisclosed at the time of booking. In the event that travelers encounter problems or difficulties while on tour, it is important that such problems be brought to WANDERWELL JOURNEYS’ attention in as timely a fashion as possible. WANDERWELL JOURNEYS will do our utmost to help you in the resolution of such problems, to the best of our ability. It is our policy to ensure, to the extent possible, the most satisfying travel experience.
As the worldwide COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic remains ongoing at this time, I acknowledge that for this reason, and other reasons not reasonably foreseeable at this time, these travel plans may be interrupted or cancelled by the supplier that is providing them, a government entity or other third party over which WanderWell Journeys has no control. I further acknowledge that the supplier’s own cancellation, rebooking and refund policies, subject to any applicable law that is now or may later be in effect, will govern my rights and remedies, including my right to a refund, in such an event. Moreover, I understand that should I elect to purchase travel insurance, the terms of the policy will dictate whether, and to what extent, coverage for any financial loss may exist under the circumstances. By signing below, I hereby agree to hold WanderWell Journeys LLC harmless and release it from any and all liability for any damages, including but not limited to monetary losses, I may incur as a result of such interruption or cancellation of these travel plans.
I also acknowledge that is the responsibility of the traveler, not the travel agent or travel supplier, to stay informed about all Covid related travel documentation and testing both for travel to a foreign destination and for re-entry to the United States.
